this also applies to nearly every suburban area in the USA - except maybe for DC and Baltimore - they have real County FDs there - but they are seperate from the City Fds The USA has the governmental and legal system in place to convert from 30,000 local Fds to 6,000 county Fds. Would it be worth it to make the change? Canada, Spain, Netherlands, Taiwan, China, England, Ireland, France - they all seem to think so. (Italy and Israel have nationwide FDs IIRC).
