gunshot residue tests didnt reveal much one shot entered body - 1 shot was apparently stopped by vest but was like getting hit with sledge hammer (hit right side front lower)
(other shot hit upper chest left side IIRC) suicide not ruled out DNA on weapon? - no comment DNA was found on Lt or his equipment he was onscene for 20 minute per GPS in car before calling out he was on foot for 20 minutes per radio there had been a meeting earlier about vandalsim to town property in the area - possible vagrants - Lt took initiative on the issue cant tell what DNA was depositied - tests arent that good "(radio traffic) is out there because of scanners in the area" (he said while waving his arm around) - openness radio call came from the radio on his body marshy area - foot prints dissappear no better description of perps both shots were from Lts weapon "want to give public a sense of openness" - have been comments about lack of info - that is why they vetted this info and released it today radio traffic - backup declined first time but accepted 2nd time - the dispatcher apparently asked him if he wanted backup and he declined the first time $50,000 reward now - FBI has more money to add - will decide later if needed bullet is still being tested some questions from reporters could not be heard - many answers were - "cannot disclose that now" - want to maintain investigative options etc - (my words) On Thu, Oct 1, 2015 at 11:06 AM, Peter Szerlagi <[email protected]> wrote: > http://www.nbcchicago.com/news/local/Officials-New-Information-Fox-Lake-Investigation-330048311.html > > 1105 AM > > 9 dna samples from scene - 3 good -1 matches a male > > 100 swabs taken > > were indications of struggle at scene > > lt was shot with his own weapon > > '2 shots - 1 into right side of vest - severe enough to incapaitate - > like sledge hit - 2nd shot to upper left chest -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
