Boston FD was busy on 453.65 (station paging channel) today around 5 PM

around 1730 there was a box struck on Ch 1 for Williams St in Jamaica
Plain - shortly thereafter, seperate alerts went out for E24 + E53 +
L16 to structure fire - each alert gave the address, 2 cross streets,
and the time - each alert was given just once

at 1751 - IIRC - an alert went out on 453.65 for a jumper / tech
rescue on the Tobin Bridge - I heard Special Unit and Rehab Unit
mentioned I am pretty sure - I missed everything else

at 1818 Car 12 ordered a 2nd alarm - one big long alert went out
seconds later - I think maybe at the same time as the beeps on Ch 1 or
just seconds after - the alert went something like this - 2nd alarm
for (maybe address and box number) Eng 28, Eng 52, E49, Ldr ??, Car 7,
Car 8, C6 (maybe C7), Special Unit, Air Supply, C22 - the alert
probably ended with cross streets and time - it was kinda hard to
write all down

In any case - it seems that sometimes a bld fire will get multiple
alerts on 453.65, other times it gets one alert - I dont know if this
is a matter of first alarm vs 2nd alarm - or maybe the box at 1730
required three units from the 2nd alarm line on the run card

Note - definitely just one Ladder was given on the 2nd alarm on 453.65
at 1818 - I think that L29 was sent much later via Ch 1 - at 1832
actually - after they bugged the dispatcher about going on a cover
assignment - and told to go to Engine 30
