Danville Ohio seems far fetched that he would have missed a radio message because he was on a portable radio - usually, no matter how bad a radio system is, the portables can usually hear - unless it was a countywide repeater with just 1 distant radio site - and the portable was inside a building http://www.radioreference.com/apps/db/?fccCallsign=WQDM383 - 159.33 R - countywide police channel - looks like about 8 miles from repeater to Danville (NE of the repeater) - over flat ground - I would think that the repeater signal would be very strong throughout Danville of course, if they broadcast BOLOs and dont ask anyone to acknowledge them, then they will never know who missed the message -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
