Lynnfield FD seems to be operating thusly - All EMS calls are paged out
at least 1 ambulance is staffed 24/7 - but they might not have medics in the middle of the night - 415 AM actually - Action Medic 51 was sent from Wakefield to a EMS call in Lynnfield (to augment the Lynfield FD units) one Engine is also paged out on all EMS calls - in the middle of the night, the engines are apparently staffed by just volunteers - some of the volunteers are medics but the dispatcher does not know how many on call medics are responding until they sign on the air such as - for the 415 AM call - Eng 2 signed on at 423 AM - "Engine 2 is responding" - "Engine 2 do you have any medics?" for the 422 AM call - Eng 2 did not have any medics - but they did supply a driver for a transport to a Boston hospital for a 613 AM call, Eng 2 signed on with 2 medics at 620 AM Action 51 signed on at 426 AM for the 415 AM call I would be willing to bet that Action 51 is activated by the Lynnfield dispatcher via a telephone call to the Action Ambulance Service dispatcher (ie not via any radio link or anything) -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
