5 pages the Town voted to hire two more FF/EMT and to begin operating a BLS FD ambulance - replacing the private ambulance service (Trinity) On page 3 or 5 - Medicare pays far less for an ambulance trip than a private HMO - (dont like the sound of that at all) Per pg 3 of 5 - if you do the math - the expected insurance reimbursements are $600 per BLS call and $1000 per ALS call Tyngsborough is right on the border with Nashua New Hampshire - which runs multiple private ALS ambulances IIRC - and the Lowell paramedics that respond to Tyngsboro are not very close - 11 to 13 minutes for Lowell paramedics (Lowell Genl Hosp to Tyngsboro police station) - 5 to 9 minutes for Tyngs police station to Spit Brook Rd fire station in Nashua - I am not sure where the Nashua ambulances are based - they are probably pretty flexible - I wonder if they are licensed to practice in Massachusetts? - maybe not -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
