I think they gave the chief and the deputy and the safety officer each
their own separate MO3 channel and HT - so they can override anyone
that they want to - the dispatch center would just need receivers on
151.16 & 151.22 & 151.28 - and they would patch that audio right into
the FB2 systems

someone is being innovative - independent thought alarm!

Cranston FD is a fully paid FD with approx 6 stations IIRC

come to think of it - they really need to have 2 freqs for each HT/MO3
combo - running each MO3 with just 1 freq seems problematic - unless
if they just use the MO3 as a backup - they might have 6 receiver
sites voted for each FB2 - but they might have 60 receiver sites voted
on the 151 Mhz channels - then the "special HTs" could really override
everyone from everywhere all the time

What say you Cranston? How many receiver sites do you have on each freq?
