Heard via Rangecast today

154.01 - simplex - base and mobile - "Channel 2" for Lowell FD - used
to give lock box info on a EMS call - (Ch2 is not on the Broadcastify
feed but it was on the Rangecast feed) - 154.01 is labeled as "FG1" on
Rangecast but on Ch1 (154.205R) the dispatcher clearly was heard to
tell the unit to go to "Channel 2" - [you can call me the Splitting
Hairs King - thats fine - it am what it am]

483.4625 R - Salem FD - Eng 1 and "16" to a back pain call - Ch2 is
483.6375 R - there was a little radio problem - E1 was scratchy in the
bld and he had his radio turned down when talking to the patient - but
I think the real problem was a dead spot on Ch 1 - the dispatcher said
'you were talking to me but I could not hear you" - so they had 2
radio problems at once which kinda baffled them a little - the
dispatcher told Eng 1 to switch to Ch 2 and stay on Ch 2 when he could
not reach Eng 1 - Eng 1 went to Ch 2 but Eng 1 said everything was
fine - Eng 1 also reported that he was using the "mobile radio" on Ch
2 - obviously Eng 1 Officer knew the difference between a portable
radio and a mobile radio - (as do most people except for maybe the
rookies)

472.6125 R - Salem State College PD - '102 you want a detail today? - no'

142.5625 R - Ntl Guard - 20 second repeater key ups - no modulation -
508 AM - also 546 553 600 602 621 AM

471.00 R - Norton PD - 2 cops sent to a "residential duress alarm" -
history of a burglary there in January - call cancelled by alarm
company who reported homeowner at scene (per the police dispatcher) -
no one went to scene apparently - [in the USA, alarm companys usually
communicate with 911 Dispatch Centers via the POTS (plain old
telephone system - landlines - wired telephones) (ie - alarm companies
typically do not have wireless connections to local police and fire
radio channels)

153.215 R - Gordon College Security - 518 AM - 105 starts to report
that he is opening up various blds

153.815 R - "Fire Alarm" pages out a EMS call - Car 8, Car 4, and 83
respond - I guess this was the Newbury FD not the Byfield FD - Cr8 and
Cr4 signed on in 1 minute - 83 (maybe the amb) signed on in 7 minutes
- no lites and siren - psyche eval - patient refusal

461.15 R - phone heard ringing once or twice - "North Shore Mall
Security emergency line" - guard answers the phone - maybe the caller
side is scrambled - might have been a joke call - [later a guard found
2 people on the roof - get their names and have them sign in to the
book - do you know where the book is?]

470.175 R - Lynn E3 and C4 sent to an outside fire near Garelick Farms
- nothing found - maybe was blowoff from sewer plant - they did not
meet with the RP face to face - ??????????

470.175 R - Swampscott E21 and (?Atlantic?) PM8 to a minor EMS call -
(Swamspcott PD also responded (one unit) but they were on 472.3375R)
