453.45 R is used by North Shore Community College Police They run 2 repeaters at the same time - 1 on the Lynn campus and 1 on the danvers campus tied together - so when your on campus you can hear both campuses Fine - but when you are off campus they heterodyne because it is not a true simulcast
The agency has full police powers on any property owned used or occupied by the college as well as immediate adjacent areas. Because they are a state school they technically have chapter 90 rights which means they can conduct traffic stops Operating 5 fully marked cruisers with blue lights and sirens, they are currently unarmed but have been approved to become armed - and will be by the end of the year.
