Boston Engine 50 was in Sullivan Square yesterday. They have a small roof turret, and they have exposed empty SCBA brackets in the top left rear compartment on their vehicle
Boston FD Station 32 has good access to Main St, Sullivan Square, and also, via some short side streets, direct access to Rte 99 inbound (or to the access road at BHCC to Rte 99 inbound). Maine St in Charleston has 1 travel lane in each direction, no median, and 1 row for parking on each side. Charlestown residents like to sit on their front porches and watch life pass by. If anyone wants a broken flange off a hydrant base - head on over to the front of BHCC. The fire alarm boxes have been removed from I93 northbound in Somerville. The pedestals are gone, and there are exposed wires at the bases. Medford has a red street radio box at the corner of Woburn St and High St. IIRC there is also one at the corner of Boston St and Rte 16. Big cranes are up in the air at Assembly Square - at least 3 of them. Seems to be a new white highrise over by Lechmere - to the north of Northpoint perhaps.Maybe 20 storys tall. MA DOT has a facility on Main St in Medford. The sign says 'District 4 Sign Shop'. I spotted one state plow there. The building is brick, maybe 1 story, maybe 100 by 100 feet. Tufts University has some construction going on. It seems to be above the garage bld where Tufts Univ PD parks their cruisers - and maybe in the bld adjacent to that.
