Regarding the URL above - you only need 51% to win - only 4 counties shifted past 50% here to Democrat - DuPage IL shifted to Republican - only a net gain of 3 for Democrats 2. I saw a great graphic which I have misplaced - essentially 50% of the USA lives in the biggest counties - 50% of the USA lives in the smallest counties - this means that ->>>>> the USA covers a huge area but has only small pockets of dense populations (the big cities) 3.
