Listening to Boston is no bargain I had 462.975, 453.65, and 483.1625 going.
This I learned - Boston FD does not respond to Priority 2 illness calls but BEMS does send 1 BLS unit. Calls sometimes go out on 453.65 before they go out on either 483.1625 or 462.975 Typically EMS calls go out on 453.65, 483.1625 (if unit is on the road), and 462.975 at the same time. Just heard unconscious call go out on 453.65 and 462.975 at same time BFD sent E52 to a medical assist at Police Station B3. BEMS also sent a BLS unit. The same call can be described as a "Respiratory 1" by BEMS; and as "respiratory distress" by BFD BFD sends 1 engine plus 1 ladder to "motor vehicle accidents" but BEMS sends no one Apparently BEMS sends 1 BLS unit to "unknown medical" calls but BFD sends no one I think I heard BFD go to a medical alarm call but I think that BEMS did not respond. A4 for internal bleed at 240 Southampton - BPD lockup - 1150 AM - "hemorhage 2" was the code - BFD not going BFD went to a medical assist on Norfolk St - then later a BEMS BLS sent (apparently on BFD request) for a "priority 2 illness" One BEMS unit just reported "patient contact" - first time I heard that in 1 hour A6 cant find Holiday at Topliff call - will do callback - 1152 AM - 462.975R - voice mail on callback - A6 has someone pointing A14 to Dana Farber Cancer Hospital - person sick on floor 2 - no privates available - A9 will take for A14 Also call for bike accident on bike path - Fairfield at Silber - XRay 1 figured out it was no where near the Esplanade - apparently out by Bowker somewhere - BEMS dispatcher had no clue where it was 1156 AM - Harbor Unit 2 change my assignment from Outer Harbor to Inner Harbor ---------------- I listened from 1033 AM to 1128 AM. In that 1 hour time frame there were 2 booted calls. The 7 Harvard Street call was actually at 7 Harvard Park - which are very close. The 2nd booted call was at 1109 AM. E5 found a man down and requested BEMS on 483.1625. It was paged on 453.65 at 1109 AM. BEMS did not send A7 until 1129 AM. I noticed that BEMS changed dispatchers twice at 1130 AM. The female dispatcher disappeared. --------------------- Time to turn off these channels - too much going on -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
