Here is a little more info about the fire station markers - sometimes the titles are a little strange - often it will say - Houston Fire department - sometimes it might say City of Houston Fire - it might say Houston Sta 16 or Houston Sta # 16 or maybe the neighborhood name will be given like "cedar park station") - for Jacksonville FL they say FS # (for fire station) - for New york City they start with FDNY - the simplest way to find them is to enter "fire station" in the search box (and maybe down below it will say "search for all fire stations within map view")
Forest fire stations might be called ranger stations or guard stations or usda fire station or usda forest fire station or usda forestry station or usda natl forest ranger station - they really are not following any standard naming convention on the wildland fire stations note - they seem to have every little mom and pop store on their maps around the entire world - i dont know how they ever managed to pull that off -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
