If someone hits an emergency alarm on a Boston EMS radio, the ensuing
radio traffic goes like this -

bunch of chirps

then the dispatcher says "all units standby"

then the dispatcher starts to call the unit that hit the alarm

if the unit answers with their callsign, the dispatcher asks for their condition

if the unit does not answer, the dispatcher calls the unit on "all channels"

if no reply is heard, the dispatcher sends the police and a EMS
supervisor to the last known location of the unit
