fireground was Cambridge Ch 16 - lots of mutual aid units were heard on that channel - along with CFD units - 482.2875 R IIRC
Cambridge FD Ch 1 had lots of mutual aid units also - 471.3125 R Cambridge FD Channel 8 was instituted as the Command Channel at 420 PM - C1 was IC on Ch 8 - (? C2 ?) was Ops on Ch 16 483.3125 - MetroFire Red - nothing heard 483.2875 R - fire dispatcher to fire dispatcher comms - "MetroFire" 483.1625 R - Boston FD Ch 1 - at 322 PM someone was told to use Channel "C Charlie 4" - I assume that was UHF Cambridge FD FG16 or UHF Cambridge main / FD1 MetroFire North and all the other MetroFire channels seemed to be dead - Itacs and Utacs were dead also Arlington Engine 2 was primarily on 460.60 R - at one point the IC called Arl Eng 2 (Officer) on CFD Ch 16 and told him to shut down the pump - and then Arl Eng 2 Officer relayed the message to Arl Eng 2 Pump on 460.60R - Arlington Engine 2 had quite the adventure in finding a hydrant apparently - some messages were relayed via telephone by the Arlington dispatcher I think that Wakefield FD was talking to their Eng 4 at the scene on the Wakefield FD channel (483.4375 R) - I know the dispatcher was calling Eng 4 - and then someone gave him an update about the fire - I presume it was Wkfld Eng 4 or Wkfld Chief that answered from the scene 453.90 had some MassPort FD action - not sure how much though - they sent Eng 5 and Ladder 1 to the fire - I saw them both on video from the scene - yellow rigs - kinda stand out Boston Fire Alarm possibly was heard transmitting on Cambridge FD Ch 16 - or maybe it was Boston Tac Com 1717 PM - at least 1 engine over the 10th alarm was requested to feed the Medford Tower - travel directions were - Cambridge to Winthrop to York 450.0375 R - 457 PM - MSP helo is coming over here to locate the source of that (maybe someone got lasered) - 505 PM MSP helo went screaming inbound over my head ------------------------- Karen Catizone on Periscope had 13,000 views (at 6 PM ish) - victim carried put by civilians (? fire buffs) - at Boston Globe on Periscope had 10,900 views at 6 PM ish -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
