Public relations report - Shiba Division of Tokyo FD

(apparently "Shiba" translates to "Turf" somehow - but its all the
same Division - they have 1 large fire station and 2 small fire
stations - large station probably has 2 Eng + 1 Ldr + 1 Rescue - the
small stations probably have 2 pumpers each - all stations have
ambulances - crews of 4 or 5 on pumpers - 4 on Ldr - 3 on ambs)

http://www.tfd.metro.tokyo.jp/hp-siba/shasinkan.html#dansouhou

this is very interesting - you can translate it via Chrome or Google
or whatever - the Chrome translation is pretty good

"pipe" = area or diagram

they give awards to people who make CPR rescues

note that they have a volunteer fire force of their own - they got
third prize in the muster

also note that the Zenjoji Temple has its own self defense fire force
- backed up by the Tokyo Prince Hotel self defense fire brigade and
the Keio University self-defense fire brigade - and they can flow
water thru hose streams

they had comedians at a fire safety day

===============================

Looks like Tokyo has 3 layers of fire service

- the paid FD

- the volunteer FD (small pumpers - maybe no SCBA) - they do have FD
UHF portable radios I think - have their own volunteer fire stations

- the self defense fire brigades (at temples and hotels and
universities etc - maybe no pumpers - maybe no SCBA - maybe they just
use hydrant water) - probably use mtnce workers and security guards on
internal radio systems
