MOAB bomb in Afghanistan was a publicity stunt - like the tomahawk
attack on the syrian airbase

+nick diaz "What we do not see it the destruction 100 feet below
ground. The air blast sent all the force and for lack of a better term
flames into the cave through it's entrance and burning everything
inside all this happens within that 600 meter radius."

Which it does not do nearly as well as a FAE. Conventional bombs - the
MOAB is a conventional bomb - carry their own oxidiser. In fact, about
75% of the explosive in this weapon will actually be oxidiser. A
thermobaric weapon (FAE) doesn't need oxidiser. It uses all the air
available. FAEs have the longest shock duration of any bomb short of a
nuclear weapon. Because they use all the surrounding air to fuel the
explosion, they are sometimes erroneously referred to as "vacuum
bombs". They work with the atmosphere around them, rather than against
it. When the USAF and RAF used FAEs against caves in Afghanistan, it
is said that the corpses in those caves were found with their lungs on
the outside of their bodies. Thermobaric weapons have about four times
the explosive power for their weight of a conventional bomb. That is
why they are called "the poor man's nuke". For this reason, FAEs are
far more effective against caves and other underground networks than
conventional explosives. There's plenty on the internet about this so
I suggest you look into it because there are some things about this
which I am not overly comfortable discussing publicly. The MOAB was a
publicity stunt.

I'm no expert like the rest of you but, I have been told by some the
heat/ flames incinerate some, the blast effect or the shockwave
scrambles their insides including the brain otherwise known as
concussion, and that's a BITCH! it goes around corners, over things,
under things, but more importantly into your body through your eyes,
your nose, your ears, and your 'bodily waste' evacuation orifices if
you get my meaning, and if those happened to be all covered😦? then for
good measure it just penetrates the pores in your skin! They say it's
instantaneous and painless though and you don't feel anything, and the
rest of it sucks up the oxygen and suffocates what's left, not
necessarily in that order! Brilliant as long as you're not on the
receiving end......eeeeewwwww!

Thomas pulverizes you organs and brain and some cases if the
concussion is strong enough like with this bomb liquefies, I saw this
in the field back in my day.
