correction - there are approx 10 houses near the DPW - maybe 30% of the town population - might as well have a fire station - 50% of fire cover for 30% of the people - thats not too far out of line for many rurul FDs - often rural FDs have 100% of coverage for 30% of population - everyone else lives 4 or 5 miles from the fire station
