I met him many many many years ago 1974 ish - under Blomquist - Arlington trained staff as EMTs - retired the 1949 or 1959 Chev paddy wagon as ambulance - some / just a few cops were trained as EMTs around then - FD got a huge rescue / ambulance - modelled after Glastonbury CT amb IIRC - Arlington FD got a bunch of EMTs trained - Arlington FD then took over ambulance from Arlington PD 1974 ish also - Arlngton FD moved from 158.76 to UHF 1980 ish - police and fire dispatch was combined when the new community safety / police station was built 2016 ish - fire chief office left the police station and returned to arlington center fire station Blomquist was the only Director of Community Safety IIRC - after he left - no one was hired to fill the spot -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
