how is lafd different from other major FDs in usa?

lafd has 7 helicopters

lafd has a helipad on the roof of every highrise in LA - (not sure about that)

lafd protects a major cargo ship port

lafd also protects 2 large airports - used to be 3 large airports

lafd does not deal with snow or ice at all

lafd is in a major earthquake zone

lafd has mountains in the city - mt lukens is highest at 5,000 feet -

difference between high and low points among the 50 most populous
cities in the US.[6] - per wikipedia

lafd also serves seashore locations

lafd has no residency requirement for senior firefighters - ???? -
true or false?

lafd has task forces - no one else in usa or world does this afaik -
one man 'wagons' is very much a thing of the past - boston mass and
cambridge mass had them till the 1970s
