interesting discussion - all of Los Angeles would have burnt if there was no FD not that anyone on that subreddit has a clue =========================== if you find Piedra Morada Drive on the map - at the south end of the street - that was the initial reported location - https://www.reddit.com/r/Firefighting/comments/1i39hck/how_much_of_la_would_likely_have_burned_down_if/ - if the FD did not respond to the fire - maybe the fire would have traveled due south and blown out to the ocean with no bld losses -especially if the fire travelled along Palisades Drive downtown would not have burnt - dont think that embers would ever set a highrise on fire in a major way if the FD did not order everyone to leave - all the citizens would fight the ember fires with garden hoses and tea kettles - maybe they would have killed all of the spot fires ================================= note -seems that no one at reddit fd has brought up initial response times or initial FD actions - oh my -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
