this document covers FD and Water Dept there was some big problem with their budget - they entered the wrong number and they had to cut spending for an entire year - they now have approx $2M in the bank iirc - like a half year of spending 24 EMT + 2 advanced EMT + 27 paramedics all firefighters are either EMT or Adv EMT or PM 3 fire stations - 4 IH / Horton class 1 ambulances plus 1 ALS equipped engine average response time is 5 minutes OR LESS - no wrong - average response time is either 5 minutes or some other number - no 'OR LESS' Dive Team is a joint venture with Hyannis Dive Team county has a Dive Team also 2 fulltime firefighters are trained as dispatchers - they fill in as needed in the dispatch office 2 new parttime dispatchers were hired to fill in as needed - maybe a new position in 2022 - maybe there were zero partttime dispatchers befoe 2022 FD Dispatch Office is a secondary PSAP to the Barnstable Town Police PSAP - in other words - if you dial 911 in the Town of Barnstable - you will reach the Barnstable Town Police Dispatch Center - if you are in the COMM Fire District and request FD or EMS - you will be transferred to the COMM Fire / EMS Dispatcher lots of other info in the report also -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
