I also retired from the sheriff dept. in 2017. I can remember the saying from many officers "you might beat the crime but you won't beat the ride"! What a statement, they mean we are going to ruin you life just because we can. This is terrible, the courts allow this to keep happening. People don't realize that when your ID is run in the system (TELETS) which is the Texas Law Enforcement Telecommunication System that is connected nation wide, it automatically assigns you a FBI number for life. I was a certified Telets operator. You had to test every two years to keep your certification. It is a against the law to us the system on a non-criminal purpose.
