The security guard was the first to notice the fire, shortly after
hearing the noise of an explosion. The flames reached a backhoe, a
patrol, a box car and three school buses. One of these buses had been
acquired about two months ago through an agreement with the city hall
and had not yet been used.

Also according to the advisory, the Military Police and the Fire
Department were called. But when firefighters arrived at the scene,
the fire had already been controlled by residents who still managed to
remove other cars that were in the yard.

Would you care to guess where the closest fire station is located?

Poco Branco has a population of approx 15,000 - there is at least 1
federal police station there with at least 1 small marked patrol car

it looks to us that the closest fire stations are 15 miles away

not sure how the tax system works in brazil but it seems that whatever
taxes they pay to the federal government gets them very little in
return - except maybe for free school buses - especially if you
consider that the armed police and the fire stations are all
nationwide / federalized agencies - ( or maybe statewide from the
operational point of view )

wait a minute - whats this? -
https://maps.app.goo.gl/UuydpYj45reJMLcX7 - 2011 street view - the
town cop is now the federal police station ? - the 1 cop town now is a
1 federali town?
