royalton vermont is a town in windsor county in vermont per their 2025 911 map book - 26 pages - https://e911.vermont.gov/sites/nineoneone/files/2025-04/E911-ROYALTON_1_2025.pdf - the yellow and orange circles are uncharted or duplicate blds
Royalton PD covers all of Royalton except for the I89 highway which is covered by VSP Royalton (vermont state police royalton) (heads up - there is no 'Town of South Royalton') "South Royalton" FD covers all of the town of royalton - (except for I89 in a NW section that is covered by Bethel FD) "South Royalton Rescue" provides ambulance service for all of Royalton - ( except for a NW section of I-89 that is served by White River Valley Ambulance - which is based in Bethel iirc) -which would make sense this info is all based on the 911 map book - it is possible that Royalton PD is contracted out to sheriff or state police - will need to check further on that - it is also possible in reality that everyone goes on every call due to mutual aid agreements (and due to the fact that its a rural area and there aint anyone else available to respond) its also possible that South Royalton Rescue is the same agency as South Royalton FD - we need to check further on that also If you thought it was easy to figure out who responds to emergency calls in Podunk Vermont - you were wrong This could all be very very very easy - all 911 calls go to 1 psap in vermont - that psap dispatches every emergency unit in VT - fire uses 154.25 - police use 460.50 - ambulance uses 155.28 - thats it - 3 dispatch channels statewide - they are not that busy - and many units probably have cellphones with messaging apps - we are no longer living in the stone age -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
