Moped driver injured after being struck by ambulance in Roxbury, police say

The collision occurred just before noon in the area of Harrison Avenue and Ziegler Street. Advertisement The victim was transported to an area hospital with injuries not considered to be life-threatening. In a statement, a Boston EMS spokesperson said one of their ambulances was transporting a patient to a local hospital and collided with the moped. After the moped rider was transported to the hospital, the original patient in the ambulance was brought to the hospital as planned. Neighbors tell NewsCenter 5 the intersection is very dangerous.
