first you are supposed to call 911 then you are supposed to call 8111 is this for ems or fore fire or for police? - its clear as mud - On-Campus Medical Emergency Calls (Police, Fire, Medical) =========================== lets propose a solution for any call that gets entered into the boston 911 cad - if the address matches a location with a listed address or a listed first responder - it will receive an immediate text page via 159.21 or 155.115 - or whatever unused channel that the city desires to use - the page will list the address and the type of incident and any other noteworthy non-deviant info for example - report of a fire at 1 Dalmation Road - an immediate page goes out for 1 Dalmation Road - anyone that wants to receive that page is free to do so for example - report of an ambulance call at 120 tremont st downtown - an immediate page goes out for 120 tremont st as soon as the calltaker types it into the CAD - page is received by Suffolk University Police Dispatch Center at 120 tremont st - they can immediately alert all of their officers via their comms system - also - anyone else in the area who wants to receive the page is free to do so - there might be 50 offices in the bld that all have pagers - you could have 50 cpr trained helpers on the way in 2 seconds whats the expense? 1 lame ass base station and 1 CAD interface how much do pagers cost? are they like baofeng radios now? 10 bucks each? they last 10 years - so the OVERALL cost is $1 per YEAR! oh good gawd we cant possibly do that - its much better to just let people DIE! maybe the same functionality is available via pulse point or code red etc -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
