overview - several local PDs + sheriff + state police + probably game wardens - several paid ambulance services with ambulances staffed 24/7 - most of the FDs do NOT have staffed stations - maybe just mexico and rumford have staffed fire stations - everyone else is paid on call firefighters radio comms are simple - 155.07 R - police - 154.07 R - fire / ambulance - countywide - and its a big mountainous county we finally got around to updating the ambulance layer you can see many towns that dont have ems first responder squads however it is possible that the ambulance services have their own first responders such as volunteers or off duty paid staff it is 85 air miles from maine life flight in lewiston to that FD way up north - so approx 30 minutes flight time - which is not too bad actually - they could possibly get a serious trauma patient or medical patient to an OR in under 1 hour -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
