911 communications in the USA could be very easy 1. one psap per county - all calls received via 911
2. one dispatch point in the county - 1 police dispatch channel per county and 1 fire / ems channel per county - the only exception would be nypd and los angeles county - look at fdny they are almost there - what do they have in manhattan? - 1 fire dispatch channel plus 3 or 4 ems dispatch channels - look at staten island - 450K pop - just 1 fire dispatch channel and 2 police dispatch channels and 1 or 2 ems dispatch channels - and its been like that for maybe 30 years now at least 3. only exceptions - military bases and oil refinerys and national forests and indian reservations and national parks - in some cases - and some lifeguard / maritime ops - and international airports etc 4. every radio would be set up the same - ch 1 - nationwide link to white house - ch 2 - dispatch - ch 3 countywide channel - ch 4 - statewide channel- ch 5 - tac - ch 6 - tac - ch 7 - chit chat channel - whaetever for the rest - all police and fire and ems radios would follow this same scheme - trs or not 5. public alerts would all funnel thru the county psap - wx alerts - amber alerts - fire evac noticies - all of that - nodes on the network would be - county - state - national - its all very simple the greatest asset that the USA has is the 3 level system of government - local - state - federal - would not be surprised if nearly country in the world has the same 3 level system - except china - they have just 1 level - and its all in Mr Xis office - but all the sharp knives are right outside the door to his office -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
