Public safety and building system upgrades remained a priority
throughout the year. Public building fire alarm systems were upgraded,
and additional security measures were implemented through the
installation of cameras and card reader access modules at multiple
Town facilities. At the Central Fire / Ambulance station new garage
doors, motors, and remote sensors were installed to improve
reliability and response readiness. At the Pigeon Cove Fire House, a
new oil-water separator system was installed as part of a larger
vehicle bay floor replacement and garage door project. Exterior
improvements to the facility are anticipated to be bid in early spring
2026.
