interesting basically the same thing as a 'fire protection district' in the midwest massachusetts only has about a dozen fire districts of 351 cities and towns - the big ones are - barnstable (5 ish districts) - dartmouth (3 ish) - wareham - 2 districts - palmer might have 3 - shelburne might have 2 - montague might have 2 or 3 newbury merged their 2 districts about 10 years ago connecticut and rhode island have many fire districts - apparently they all have their own fire chiefs and commissioners and tax rates not sure if pennsylvania has any fire districts - they seem to have a ton of VFCs that live off donations we can probably hit these questions with Google AI - later -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "massfire" group.
