Hi all,

I am currently not so badly advancing on the utf-8 matter and the global
mrxvt's working and understanding. I think I may soon propose something,
but I think that getting UTF-8 may need to do some severe design
changes. I must go deeper on some matter to be sure and confirm, but
apparently there are some points where the current way of working is not
very good (in fact I think I discovered some bugs that leads to wrong
behaviour -- the one I could test and are real -- even for the iso
8859-X encodings it seems, that is to say...).

This is why I will expose my understanding and the propositions to
modify this and bring utf-8 on this list (or on private with Gautam and
Jimmy maybe? Tell what is the best) before touching the code. This way
we will discuss some "development plan" first and decide the design
change (if needed) together. :-)

Hopefully I will write another email in the next days, but I have many
stuffs to do this week. So I may expose my stuffs next week rather (my
schedule should be far cooler).
See you.

Jehan
