Backward compatibility is important, but in my opinion a simple change of the 
look of mrxvt will not break so much user-setups.
I think the file /usr/share/mrxvtrc is more relevant for new users
than for long-time users because almost 100% of longtime users have created 
their own configuration in the homedir.

I also think that we will get more active users, if mrxvt looks more
appealing for first-time users.

.o(Maybe we should enable transparency per default ...... :-))

My first motivation for changeing this file was the new tab-monitoring
feature, which uses the values of 'itabBackground' and 'tabBackground'
to provide a notification about activity/inactivity ;-)
