Here's a better (more reliable) way of reproducing the error:
1. Run "mrxvt-utf8 -e tcsh -f"
2. Type "1234 asdf" (don't press enter).
3. Move your cursor to "a" and type something. If you type "a", the
"s" disappears. If you type anything else, the "a" disappears.
