i just grabbed the latest mrxvt05b, configured with: ./configure --enable-xft --enable-jpeg --enable-png --enable-transparency --enable-swapscreen --enable-24bits --enable-menubar --enable-frills and the special character thing is still funky... screenshot - http://smasher.org/tmp/snapshot136.png on the top, i echo the alt-char set in normal and alternate modes. after selecting the line of normal mode output, it pastes as expected. after selecting the line of alternate mode characters and pasting it, it's a lot of white space, with only two characters being copied as anything (but not being copied how i'd want them to be). on further experimenting, some of the alternate characters are either not copied, or copied as null (is there a difference between the two?). the other thing it's not doing as desired is only selecting (on double-click) up to the border between normal mode and alternate mode characters. did i mention that C is not on the list of things i'm good at? i did poke around in the source, made a few changes that seemed like they might be the right thing, but i didn't even manage to make it worse. maybe i'm not building it right...? i'm not used to subversion... i checked out the latest version, config'd, make'd, and ran it as ./src/mrxvt. i wouldn't rule out my ineptitude at C and/or subversion as the cause of the problems, but if anyone else can test this... -- ...atom ________________________ http://atom.smasher.org/ 762A 3B98 A3C3 96C9 C6B7 582A B88D 52E4 D9F5 7808 ------------------------------------------------- "Under this law (Controlled Substances Act) a bureaucrat - usually not elected - decides whether or not a substance is dangerous and how dangerous that substance is.
