Thanks for the info. Sorry for being vague. The problem is not x-copy and
paste. The problem is copy paste between mrxvt and something in windows. I run
mrxvt through a VNC viewer on windows and have very frequent need of copy-paste
across mrxvt and windows apps.

Not sure what you mean by clipboard, but if you want to copy/paste text
from/into mrxvt from other apps, such as Seamonkey (browser) or other mrxvt
tabs, just select the text then do a middle mouse button click to paste. I
don't have a middle button, so I need to press both the left and right buttons
simultaneously.
I'm running fvwm2 in the default X on OpenBSD and it works by default. I don't
even have an xorg.conf.
How's that for a workaround?
