It might be a config problem. Try -cf /dev/null -nsc. Try playing with
the fonts.

I don't have Fedora, or know how to make binaries. These are usually
donated by someone :). Feel free to donate them...

PS: Does manually installing 0.5.4 make your problems go away? If
    nothing else works, post a screenshot so we can see what's going on.
