Call for Papers
‘Studies in Lewis Carroll’s Logic’
Editors: Francine F. Abeles, Amirouche Moktefi, Mark Richards
Publisher: Springer, 2026.

We welcome contributions that address any topic that relates to Lewis Carroll’s
logical work.
It is well known that Carroll, the famous author of 'Alice in Wonderland', was
an Oxford mathematician and logician. His logical work, at the intersection of
traditional and modern logic, offers a rich and insightful treatment of the
main logical subjects that were discussed in his time and that are often still
debated among modern logicians.

This volume aims to provide a comprehensive overview of current research on
Carroll’s Logic.
It aims at gathering contributions that address a vast array of logical topics,
including but not limited to, the following subjects:
- Carroll’s logical theory.
- Carroll’s notations and diagrams.
- Carroll’s philosophy of logic, mathematics and language.
- Logical puzzles and paradoxes.
- Logic education.
- Relations between logic, mathematics and literature.
- Relations and comparisons with other logicians.
- Carroll’s legacy and influence.
- Applications of Carroll’s logic ideas.
