ಸರ್ಕಾರಿ ಶಾಲೆಯ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಪ್ರಶ್ನೆಯನ್ನು ಓದಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದೇ ಕಷ್ಟ , ಅರ್ಥವಾಗುವುವುದು ಯಾವಾಗ ? ಪರಿಸ್ಥಿತಿ ಹೀಗಿರುವಾಗ ನಮ್ಮ ಭಾಷಾ ನಿಪುಣ ಪ್ರಷ್ನೆ ಪತ್ರಿಕೆ ತಯಾರಕರು ಅನ್ವಯ ಪ್ರ ಶ್ನೆಯ ನೆಪದಲ್ಲಿ ಟ್ವಿಸ್ಟ್ ಮಾಡಿದರೆ ಹೇಗೆ ಉತ್ತರಿಸಿಯಾರು? ನಮ್ಮದು ಆಡು ಬಾಷೆ ಬೇರೆ ಗ್ರಾಂಥಿಕ ಭಾಷೆ ಬೇರೆ. ಅದರಲ್ಲೂ ಈ ಕನ್ನಡೀಕರಿಸಿದ ವೈಜ್ಞಾನಿಕ ಶಬ್ದಗಳು ನೆನಪಿಡುವುದು ಮಕ್ಕಳಿಗೆ ಮಗ್ಗಿ ಕಂಠಪಾಠ ಹಾಕಿದಂತೆಯೇ ಸರಿ, ಅವಕ್ಕೆ ಪರ್ಯಾಯ ಪದ ಬಳಸಿದರೆ ಅಂತಹ ಪ್ರ ಶ್ನೆ ಗೆ ಉತ್ತರ ಗೊತ್ತಿದ್ದರೂ ಬಿಟ್ಟುಬಿಡುವ ಸಾಧ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಇತ್ತೀಚಿಗೆ ಹಂಪಿ ವಿಶ್ವವಿದ್ಯಾಲಯದಲ್ಲಿ ನಡೆದ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಕಮ್ಮಟದಲ್ಲಿ ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪದಕೋಶದ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಪ್ರಸ್ತಾಪಿಸಲಾಗಿದೆ. ಕನ್ನಡದಲ್ಲಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪದಕೋಶದ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಕನ್ನಡಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ವಿಜ್ಞಾನ ಪದಕೋಶದ ಅಗತ್ಯತೆ ಇದೆ. ಅಂದರೆ ಜನಜನಿತವಾದ ಇಂಗ್ಲಿಷ್ ಪದಗಳನ್ನು ಅಪರೂಪ ಬಳಕೆಯ ಕನ್ನಡ ಪದ ಅಥವಾ ಸಂಸ್ಕ್ೃತ ಪದಗಳ ಬದಲಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೇ ಉಳಿಸುವುದು ಅನುಕೂಲಕರ ಎನಿಸುತ್ತದೆ.
