If you are planning to conduct 4-5 preparatory exams to your students - For the first one or two question papers, conduct open book exams. But, don't give more time. (Only 3hrs). It will be helpful for them to build up their confidence. Once when they become confident, then conduct actual (closed book) exams. Please, keep it in mind that we are preparing them to public exam, We are not testing them. So, don't be too much strict during preparatory exams.
