Our front page has various sidebars that include announcements, links to the 
sourceforge download page, etc. I like the default look of sphinx-based html 
as well, but I also like the look of the moin-based scipy page.

Yes, pdf is working again, I sorted out the issues that John and Fernando 
reported last night.
