Hi John, Michael just wrote me that he got the same error. I think that perhaps I need to assign write permissions even to read using the "personal" URL. For now, can you try the public clone URL git://github.com/astraw/matplotlib.git instead? I will attempt to sort this out... (And of course give you and Michael and anyone else write permissions if need be.) I'm new to git in a multi-developer context and git-svn may add another layer here, so please bear with me.
