Hi John, I sorted the tracker issue with help of SF support: apparently the tracker component has its own set of permissions. Once you click 'Tracker' in the menu, an extra option 'Admin' will appear. Then click 'Bugs', then 'Add/Update Users and Permissions' and you can change permissions. I also found this not so easy to find, but it does the trick...
Anyway, you can assign mplot3d tickets to me now!
