I cleared out /usr/local and rebuilt the necessary libraries and it now 
seems to work fine. I uploaded a new copy of the Mac installer for 
Python 2.6 after performing basic testing on 10.4, 10.5 and 10.6. Please 
give it a try. I'll upload a version for 32-bit Python 2.7 once I have 
it.
