For mpl_toolkits/mplot3d/index.rst, I cleaned it up and improved it slightly, but I have no clue where in the broader documentation it belongs. Maybe we need an entry for mpl_toolkit items?
Yes. I think we should add a toolkit category to the table of contents and add this and AxesGrid there.
