Sounds like a good bet. Though I also really like your idea of making the setup.py file smart enough to find the right wx-config. That would be a good quick fix (at least I think it would be quick) and would make building a lot more robust. Thank you again for all your help. I see you even found a fix for wxPython 2.7. I don't plan to try myself because I've got something that works, but it sounds like a good bug to fix!
