I have a follow-up on my previous emai.
I don't think we should do an autoscale_view() for axis('equal') either.
For axis('equal') only the limits of either the x or y axis are adjusted
(enlarged really) until the aspect ratio is equal.
Not sure about the others. Do we ever need to do it?
