Nothing built-in -- but you can fake it::

    import matplotlib.pyplot as plt
    import numpy as np

    t = np.arange(0.0, 2.0, 0.01)
    s = np.sin(2*np.pi*t)

    fig = plt.figure()
    ax = fig.add_subplot(111)
    ax.plot(t+0.01, s-0.01, color='gray', lw=2)
    ax.plot(t, s, color='blue', lw=3)
    plt.show()
