Will fontdict continue to be a valid keyword argument for the text() function? It seems to work now (in version 0.98.5.1), but the help on this page:
http://matplotlib.sourceforge.net/api/pyplot_api.html#matplotlib.pyplot.text is ambiguous, as it lists two keyword arguments at the top ("fontdict","withdash"), but then does NOT show either of those two under the list of valid kwargs later on.
