I want to let matplotlib control where the tick marks go, but I want to scale the value of the tick labels. For example, if my matrix has a 100 columns the tick marks might be [0,25,50,100]. I want to scale these tick labels by some value say .01 so that the corresponding tick labels would be [0,.25,.5,1].
Now say I zoom in on the image so that the xaxis limits are (0,50). Lets suppose the tick marks are now [0,10,20,30,40,50] Then in this case the tick labels should be [0,.1,.2,.3,.4,.5] So how do I go about creating a custom formatter? Thanks Jeremy Michael Droettboom wrote: > What are you setting the x ticklabels to?
